Annie Olivier

Annie has worked for several international and Canadian charitable organisations with a focus on community led development, including Global Vision International Kenya, Mosqoy: Sacred Valley Youth Program, and World Fisheries Trust. Her primary areas of work have been in strategic planning and communications, and building meaningful partnerships between community groups and organisations.

Her interest in food poverty and sustainable food systems began as a volunteer for food redistribution projects on Southern Vancouver Island, and as a farm assistant on an organic farm cooperative in 2016.

Throughout her education she specialised in social justice and political economy, where she engaged in research on sustainable food systems and food sovereignty.
