Norfolk
Working in partnership with Feeding Britain, Norfolk Community Foundation brought funding from their Thetford Shines Brighter Fund and investment from Breckland Council to create the first citizens supermarket in Norfolk. The Burrell Shop at the Charles Burrell Centre in Thetford is helping to strengthen the community spirit and support for many who have struggled to put good quality food on the table, as well as providing a trusted place for additional wrap-around support. As part of their Nourishing Norfolk initiative, the Foundation are currently developing further partnerships to bring other, similar supermarkets to the county.
