Kevin Simpson

Kevin has over 30 years experience in the third sector in Scotland covering youth work, community development, social care and homelessness.  He brings strategic vision to the work of Feeding Britain in Scotland and leads on the development of the Flagship Threehills project in Glasgow. He is especially committed to partnership working, believing that local community groups and national bodies acting together can create long term, sustainable solutions to our food poverty crisis.

Kevin splits his time between food poverty work in Scotland with Feeding Britain and in Malawi with the Scottish NGO, Malawi Fruits. The challenges and issues are very different in both countries of course, but the need for action and to ensure that no-one is left behind remain the same.

As Threehills develops, Kevin is focussing more on building our Good Food Scotland initiative, creating a network of partners as diverse as food banks and local community food organisations, politicians and companies, to make sure hunger becomes a thing of the past.
