Nick Hopkins

Born and brought up in Chester, Nick has lived in and around Glasgow for the last 25 years, where he is a founder member of, and currently chairs Glasgow South West Foodbank, one of the largest providers of emergency food support in Scotland. Nick has been involved from the start in setting up Feeding Britain’s Threehills project in Glasgow’s Nitshill area.

In his professional life Nick is a social researcher and consultant specialising in poverty, financial inclusion, housing, and disability/ health issues, working with clients in central and local government, the health, housing and voluntary sectors to find innovative solutions to the challenges they face. In his spare time Nick is a dog walker, nature watcher, and follows Welsh rugby, Chester FC and the ups and downs of UK politics.
