Feeding Britain is proud to share that they have been partnering with The Handmade Christmas Co. in their ‘gift to give’ initiative for a number of years, and this year, the Christmas retailer donated over 10,500 meals thanks to their customers.
Since 2020, The Handmade Christmas Co. has been selling Christmas gift hampers to their customers and when designing the range, they were keen to do something bigger and incorporate community and giving into their range… thus their ‘gift to give’ initiative was born.
Every hamper sold, both through their website and directly to their corporate customers, includes a donation of meals to Feeding Britain. The hamper also contains a note letting their recipient know that a donation has been made as a result of them receiving the hamper.
The initiative has seen incredible praise from across their customers, as they are not only able to give memorable special gifts, but also able to be a part of change as they support Feeding Britain on their mission to create a hunger free UK.
Feeding Britain are extremely grateful for the continued support and donations from The Handmade Christmas Co. and their customers, which assists us in our work to drive systematic change at both the local/regional level and creating national networks to share knowledge and best practice.
The Handmade Christmas Co. Co-Founder, Louis Porter said – “We are proud to have supported Feeding Britain once again in 2023, where, thanks to our customers, we were able to make a donation of over 10,500 meals.”
“As a small business, we believe in supporting communities and making a difference, from sustainable product sourcing, working with fair trade registered factories, partnering with local food banks to reduce waste and donating meals as part of our work with Feeding Britain. This work forms a key part of our operations and we are proud of the work we do to support our partners like Feeding Britain in the essential work they do to support both local and national communities in the UK.”
“This wouldn’t be possible without the support of our loyal customers, who are always enthusiastic and positive about our work such as our “Gift to Give” initiative we have included across our Christmas Hamper range – so to our customers, we say thank you!”
